Slowly but surely, Bergen’s healthcare workers and first responders are getting their vaccinations—and now there’s even more proof on Instagram.
Since the start of the new year, New Jersey has taken a major step forward in the COVID-19 pandemic—many healthcare workers, as well as some emergency workers, were given their first and/or second doses of the vaccine. And we’re continuing in this positive direction, because as of last week, Gov. Phil Murphy revealed that residents over the age of 65 and/or individuals between ages 16–64 with pre-existing medical conditions are eligible for their shots as well.
So, while you wait for your turn (it’s coming, we promise!) here’s another round of local doctors and first responders documenting their inoculation moments on the ’Gram.
Pedy Ganchi, M.D., a plastic surgeon based in Ridgewood, turned her COVID-19 vaccine experience into an Instagram video to the tune of Ciara’s hit song, “Level Up.”

First responders from across the area were given their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine at Englewood Health. You can see the smiles under the masks!

The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood did the same, holding vaccine clinics for first responders at which they administered over 700 doses.

Michele L. Beltram, director of Kessler Education and Residency, received her first dose of the vaccine. Kessler Rehabilitation Center has Bergen County locations in Saddle Brook, Paramus, Emerson, Hackensack and Fair Lawn.

Physicians and staff at Tenafly Pediatrics, which has nine offices in Bergen and Hudson counties, were given their vaccines. They even made Hamilton-themed T-shirts to mark the occasion!
